Christmas Tin Appeal

For many years, in the weeks leading up to Christmas, volunteers from the Blaby & District Lions Club, with the help of the Whetstone Co-operative and Asda (Fosse Park) Supermarkets, have collected tins and packets of food. These were made up into food hampers and distributed to local families and the elderly who could benefit from these gifts.

Our volunteers enjoyed hand delivering the food parcels, which were always gratefully received.

Occasionally we had more food items than we could deliver, so we then make a donation to one of the local foodbanks.
